The very first time my mother asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up my response was; a teacher. Up until this day that has never changed. Teachers have the ability to influence, support, encourage and inspire others to strive for the best and succeed in fulfilling daily goals. Growing up I was lucky enough to have so many amazing teachers that constantly challenged me, forced me to think outside the box and learn how to become a great decision maker. These teachers, as well as my own passion, has made me certain that teaching is what I want to build my life around.
As early on as I can remember, I was always teaching others. Whether it was being in the front row during my ballet recital or sitting one on one with an exchange student from France, my goal has always been to help others see things and learn in new, exciting ways. I knew teaching was my calling and continued my post secondary education in order to go on to teachers college where I have since learned not only the practical ideals of teaching but also the importance.
My intention with this blog is that you will get a sense of me as a person and as a teacher; my passion, dedication, motivation and true love for a profession I have dreamed of being a part of for my entire life.

'I am a teacher because of the
love I had for school. I loved my teachers. I loved having fun while learning.
I loved the interaction with my peers. I felt safe and successful at
school…even when I made mistakes.’
