Along with my passion for teaching comes my love of the Arts. I have always been deeply involved; from my very first play where I stared as Miss. Hannigan to my OAC Drama night where my class and I wrote, directed and stared in our own original performance. In between, I auditioned and was cast for many high school musicals my school, Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, put on. Some included The Music Man, Annie and A Chorus Line, to name a few. During the summer time, I worked for the city of Toronto at Arts Adventure camp where I choreographed dances, helped write original plays and directed performance put on for parents by up to 75 campers after a two-week session. I have also been very successful with one of my favourite instruments, the Piano. I have been taking lessons since a young age and have developed a love and appreciation for this magical instrument.
When I was finished Teacher’s College I went on to take Dramatic Arts as a additional qualification with hopes to be able to direct my own school musical at some point in my career. My love for the Arts is deeply rooted in my passion for teaching and I can only hope to share this with the students I am able to work with.
